About The Build Tank
The Build Tank is well known for its insightful thought leadership and its forward-thinking model for highly effective, human-centered technology.
We focus on helping organizations renew the promise of their technology platforms. Your technology platforms (such as Salesforce CRMs or websites) must support and supercharge the work that everyone around the organization is doing, instead of the all-too-common situation where the platforms are not providing much value or are actively holding you back.
Ultimately we seek to help organization’s build and incubate their own internal teams with the type of capacity and ownership needed to effectively manage and steward their own technology platforms on an ongoing basis. These “platforms teams” take a forward-thinking, ‘human’ approach to technology management, staying in constant communication with people around the organization, understanding their colleagues’ needs, and ensuring that the organization’s system never stops improving in supporting staff around the organization to accomplish their critical work in the world.

ABOUT THE CO-FOUNDER
Build Tank Co-Founder Sam Dorman has been on a decades-long mission to help nonprofits leverage the power of technology to support and superpower their work.
Sam's work has had a notable presence in the nonprofit Salesforce sector in particular, from its earliest days. His early work with IAVA was repeatedly featured during early Dreamforce main stage keynotes, and he was named a Salesforce Community Hero for his role in helping conceive of and found the beloved "Power of Us Hub" community, connecting tens of thousands of nonprofit Salesforce practitioners to each other. He was also commissioned by the Salesforce Foundation to write the original "Getting Ready Playbook", and to lead a seminal customer study on the key challenges and opportunities faced by nonprofits adopting Salesforce. Sam teamed up with co-founder Chris Zezza to write the "Resourcing Your Salesforce CRM Product Team" white paper, considered by many to be a ground-breaking resource on how to build and structure internal teams to ensure an organization’s Salesforce thrives and achieves its intended impact.
